Nature

There is beauty in every season at Captain’s Cabin Bed and Breakfast. Take a canoe ride on the 3 acre lake and get a close up view of wildlife including a grey heron named “Swoop,” the groundhogs, “Wallina” and “Wally Jr.,” turtles, fish, and bullfrogs. Sit still and you may spot a deer coming for a drink.

In every season, Captain’s Cabin offers the beauty of nature.

Take a nature walk through numerous wooded trails and see a wide variety of birds or wade in the bedrock creek. In summer, fall, winter and spring there is plenty to do without ever leaving the property. But Louisville and the surrounding area have endless entertainment options to offer. Noted as as #1 Foodie City by Conde Nast and home to internationally renowned museums such as Louisville Slugger, Evan Williams Bourbon Experience, Frazier Historical Museum and Churchill Downs Museum, you will run out of time before you run out of things to do in Louisville.
